Public planning page. This page is not a participant intake form, emergency helpline, shelter request, or crisis response page. If someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services.
FPR routes contact carefully. Below you will find the right path depending on who you are and what you are looking for.
Sponsor a Need
You want to fund a specific, reviewable need — meals, work gloves, a charging station, laptop refurb, water parts, mentor materials, or quiet dignity support.
Become a Mentor
You have a skill — farming, trades, forestry, digital literacy, grant writing, food safety, document help, or something else worth teaching. You want to offer one lesson, one hour at a time.
Partner with FPR
Your organization — a shelter, food bank, VSO, church, university, community kitchen, or mission-aligned group — wants to explore working alongside FPR on real, partner-safe pathways.
Volunteer
You want to help hands-on with land work, mentorship support, digital assistance, or remote tasks. Volunteer activity requires review — no unvetted access, no unsafe solo work.
University / Academic / Research
You are a student, professor, department, or research program interested in FPR as a living laboratory — horticulture, sustainable agriculture, forestry, hillside management, land ecology, or local-first technology research.

Media / Press
You are a journalist, documentary filmmaker, podcast host, or researcher writing about Appalachian resilience, land stewardship, or humanitarian infrastructure.
General
Something else. A question, a connection, a story, or an idea that does not fit above.
Participant and crisis boundary: This contact page does not collect participant records, medical details, legal documents, emergency requests, or sensitive family information. FPR is not operating participant intake in this public planning page.
